Overview
Each year, Crismore CPA Group reserves 20 positions for small businesses to
participate in our Small Business Development Program. The goal of the program
is to help central Indiana small businesses get organized, remain compliant with
federal, local, and state tax laws, and save money.
Monthly Fees Help With Cash Flow
The Crismore CPA Group Small Business Development Program allows its participants
to spread out their annual accounting fees by paying on a fixed monthly payment plan
instead of receiving larger bills only at tax time. This allows the small business
to spread the cash flow burden across 12 calendar months instead of paying the entire
year's fees at tax time.
Did you Know? |

If you neglect your bookkeeping during the year, your
accountant still has to catch up all of that bookkeeping work at tax time in
order to correctly report your company's income and expenses. It's much
better to keep your bookkeeping up-to-date as the year goes on because you and
your CPA can use the information to make better business and tax planning
decisions. |
What is the process?
Where do the cost savings come from?
Every business has its own challenges, and we won’t
know what cost savings are available to you until we get
to know you and your business. However, the following
cost saving ideas have worked for us in the past, and will
continue to work for us in the future:
|
Remaining compliant with federal, state, and local tax laws will always cost
less than paying those taxes plus penalties and interest. |
|
Tax Planning with quarterly and annual tax payments will help you avoid
penalties and interest. |
|
Planning tax deductions during the tax year instead of at tax time will help you
optimize your tax strategy. |
|
Businesses with good financial accounting systems should outperform businesses
that do their bookkeeping in a shoebox. |
|
The fee structure both in this program and in our general practice is lower
than many competing CPA firms in central Indiana. Most clients save money by
switching from their old CPA to use our services. |
|
The Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT) is like a second tax system that could affect
anyone with an income over $75,000 per year. Business ownership and rental
properties can result in unexpected taxes due. It is important to consult your
CPA to understand where issues might occur. |
